The above is a fairly large list of requirements that a phone must meet in order to support Google Pay. This may give the impression that Google Pay only works on certain phones, but in fact it is not. In practice, most Android phones equipped with an NFC module support Google Pay.

How it works
First you need to install the application itself and add a payment card of a supported bank to it. Card confirmation occurs after sending SMS or by calling the call center. If before that the user had cards connected to a Google account, they can be immediately linked to Android Pay. Otherwise, payment details are entered from scratch.
At the time of payment, funds are debited from the card that is specified in the application by default (in case of linking several at once). For purchases worth up to 1,000 rubles, it is enough to bring a smartphone with the screen on to the terminal, but after three such transactions, confirmation will still be required. Large amounts will already require a pin code to unlock the smartphone.
Safety
The principle of data protection is practically no different from a similar payment service Apple Pay. The system is based on tokenization, that is, for each individual monetary transaction, its own unique set of characters (token) is formed in the Google cloud. At the same time, constant synchronization with the “cloud” is not necessary for successful payment, since the tokens generated in advance are already stored in the memory of the mobile device. However, in offline mode, you can only make up to six transactions, then you need to synchronize with the server.
But the process of working with the terminal is slightly different from Apple. Owners of Android smartphones do not need to constantly keep their finger on the scanner during the payment, since not every device from Google is equipped with this same scanner. The main means of protection is unlocking the screen, which already requires the input of a pin code, a graphic code, or the same fingerprint. If you try to turn off unlock in settings, Android Pay will automatically erase all payment card data for security reasons.
Losing a smartphone is not a significant problem. The possibility of contactless payment can be immediately blocked from any computer in the Android Device Manager service (provided that it is connected to the Network).
Which phones are supported
Not every device will be able to use Google Pay. The smartphone must be running Android 4.4 or higher

Possible problems
The launch of Android Pay in Russia received a lot of negative feedback due to a huge number of technical problems, in particular with Sberbank cards. A fly in the ointment was added by non-working promotions launched just at the time of the launch of Android Pay. The unpreparedness of large cities for the launch of Android Pay is not yet so critical against the backdrop of a total lag in the regions of the country. How to use Google Pay
