The NSPK National Payment Card System and the operator of Mir communication cards, and Samsung Electronics provided users with the opportunity to connect Mir cards to the Apple Pay system, the NSPK release says.
Otkritie bank, Rosselkhozbank, Center-invest and Chelindbank are participating in the pilot project. At the moment, such a technological solution will be available to banks participating in the Mir payment card system for large-scale implementation in 2022.
As previously reported, in 2022 NSPK may offer the market its own solution for paying with a Mir card using a phone.
The joint operation of these systems was expected in mid-2017. Users, of course, appreciated the speed and convenience of this service after the launch of this card.
Instructions on many sites advise that when a failure occurs, the first thing to do is to make sure that your gadget supports working with a payment service. We believe this test is useless. If the version of the iPhone or iWatch was not suitable for working with Apple Pay, you simply would not be able to start the process of adding a card – there would be no corresponding button in Wallet.

If everything is in order with the gadget, but you cannot link a payment instrument to it, you should check the card itself. It must meet the following conditions:
- belong to Visa or MasterCard systems;
- be issued by a bank that cooperates with Apple Pay;
- supported by the service.
Today, more than 30 Russian banks and payment systems cooperate with Apple Pay. But it should be borne in mind that not all cards of partner banks of the system can work with it. Even if the card belongs to one of the two payment systems compatible with the Apple service, this does not mean that it can be digitized.

Why NFC doesn’t work

If the SMS informing service (“Mobile Bank” or its equivalent) is not connected to your phone, the system will not be able to send you a password. Accordingly, the card binding will be impossible.
Speaking of balance. One of the fairly common reasons why a card is not added to Apple Pay is a banal lack of funds in the account. For successful binding, the card must have at least 1 ruble. If you have just received a card and have not yet had time to replenish its account, you will not be able to digitize it and enter it into the system.
