I purchased this device to enable my iPad Pro to be used as a second monitor for my 2022 Mac Mini which has a 27 inch display connected via an eGPU.
When I connect the iPad via the Luna dongle, it stops using the eGPU graphics card and the Apple OS gets confused which monitor is in control. Items appear randomly on the second monitor that would normally appear on the main monitor, for example a screen shot. Dragging items or windows between the two monitors, the display doesn’t allow me to move things in the direction I’ve selected under Settings for the display.
On checking the Activity Monitor, the eGPU seems to be disabled having plugged in the Luna Dongle. So I am unable to use this setup as a second monitor if I use my eGPU. Which totally defeats the object of having Luna in the first place, which is as a second monitor for video editing (which requires the power of the eGPU).
I have contacted Luna and had no reply. There is no information on their website or marketing to warn potential customers that this product does not work with an eGPU.
